Becoming an Invisalign Preferred Provider means a dental office has achieved a minimum amount of experience with the Invisalign program. Generally, the more experience a provider has with Invisalign, the better the chances is for a smooth, hassle-free treatment course, and it is more likely that the patient will be completely satisfied with their improved smile.
Patients considering Invisalign understand that this is a big commitment, both in time and money. Therefore, choosing a provider is not a light decision. There are many dentists and orthodontists offering Invisalign as a treatment option, but it can be difficult to determine who will be the best provider for each patient. Invisalign designates these Preferred Providers so that patients can more easily find the most experienced providers in their area. Becoming a Preferred Provider means that the provider cares about continued education and training, and also has the experience to back up their diagnoses.
Invisalign designates three tiers of Preferred Providers:
- Preferred Providers, the lowest tier, treat at least 10 cases with Invisalign every year.
- Premier Preferred Providers treat at least 25 cases every 6 months, and have treated at least 50 cases total.
- Elite Preferred Providers have treated a minimum of 300 cases and treat 50 cases every 6 months.
